Martin Harvey will be giving a talk on:

“From field observation to global data: (some of) the many links between recorders, schemes, organisations and portals”

Abstract: A perspective on the role of national recording schemes and the UKCEH Biological Records Centre as part of the NBN community.

Martin is Coordinator of Zoological Data at UKCEH Biological Records Centre (BRC). Established in 1964, BRC provides a national focus in the UK for terrestrial and freshwater species recording and works closely with the voluntary recording community. Martin is an entomologist and biological recorder, whose work at BRC includes support for iRecord and liaison with national recording schemes.
