Abstract: An exploration of the interoperable marine biodiversity landscape, from individual records to the global data ecosystem.

Dan Lear is Head of Data, Information & Technology at Marine Biological Association (MBA). The MBA’s mission is to understand and disseminate the causes and consequences of environmental change in the ocean through research and discovery.

Dan is an open data advocate and Co chair of OBIS (Ocean Biodiversity Information System) and the MEDIN Data Archive Centre Working Group with nearly 30 years experience in marine biodiversity data.
