MSPs – we need your voice for biodiversity data!

The Better Biodiversity Data project – funded by the Scottish Government and NatureScot – is delivering the first phase of the development of a national biodiversity data service for Scotland.
The national biodiversity data service will be essential for measuring progress against the Scottish Biodiversity Strategy and the forthcoming Natural Environment Act. We can only manage – and restore – what we can measure.
The current project ends in March 2025, and we don’t yet have funding secured for the next phase of work. We can’t risk losing momentum with this vital project that underpins Scotland’s commitment to nature restoration.
Please speak up for this important project. We’d be delighted to discuss it with you further. Please contact Mike Tetley, Better Biodiversity Data Programme Manager at: m.tetley@nbn.org.uk to arrange a call.
To find out more about the wider context for this work, please download the SBIF Recommendations 2024: Progress towards a better biodiversity data infrastructure report.
Thank you for your support.
