Successful participants of this one-day course, run by Anglian Ecology, will gain the necessary skills to complete initial scoping surveys and secondary non-specialist surveys as outlined in British Standard BS 8596:2015: ‘Surveying for Bats in Trees and Woodland’ – Guide.
The course also includes an introduction to bat biology, woodland management and conservation, British bat species, correct use of endoscopes and a visit to a private semi-natural woodland.
