This one day workshop will provide an introduction to the identification of this group including a look at the biology of gymnosperms (conifers and their allies such as cycads and ginkgos) and we will look at and identify a wide range of fresh and preserved material. At the end of the session, you should be familiar with the main features of the key genera and the diagnostic features that separate out the common species. You will also have an opportunity to key out some less common specimens.
