Greenspace Information for Greater London CIC (GiGL) is recruiting a part-time Data Assistant to join their team and help deliver their vision of London’s natural environment being appreciated, understood, considered, and improved. This role is an opportunity for the right person to gain experience in the varied remit of local environmental records centres and GiGL’s work as a social enterprise in the capital. The post is a part-time position for 12 months. Flexible working requests will be considered.
The post-holder will share responsibility for uploading wildlife records to GiGL’s databases and help to maintain the integrity of those databases as well as collaborating with the whole Team to carry out the work of a local environmental records centre and the delivery of GiGL’s strategic plan.
The successful candidate will be a proficient user of Microsoft Excel and Word. Organised and reliable, s/he will possess good communication skills and have a keen eye for detail. An understanding of the importance of responsible data handling and data standards is essential. An understanding of the functions of a local environmental records centre and experience of working with biological data is an advantage.

Salary: £21,000 pro rata
