Trainer’s workshop – BTO

Location:
BTO Scotland, Unit 15, Beta Centre, Stirling University Innovation Park, Stirling, FK9 4NF
Starts:
Saturday 2 March 2019, 10:00
Ends:
Saturday 2 March 2019, 16:30

The BTO would like to invite you to a workshop on methods and best practise for training people in bird identification and survey skills. These workshops are part of a wider BTO strategy to involve volunteers in our training program to allow more flexible, locally-relevant training to be delivered.

The aim of the day will be to bring together people who are currently involved in bird surveys and ID training with those who are interested in getting involved, to allow attendees to share skills and experiences and gain confidence.

The day will be activities-based and mainly led by attendees. Attendees will gain experience running both indoor and outdoor exercises designed for different types of learners.

Electronic copies of all BTO training materials used during the day will be made available for you to use. Whether you’re interested in gaining more confidence to lead small groups on bird walks, or in running your own BTOstyle training days, we’d encourage you to come along.

Please get in touch with David Jarrett at david.jarrett@bto.org if you’re interested in attending or you’d like to find out more!
