National Plant Monitoring Scheme Stakeholder Workshop Scotland

Location:
SYHA in Edinburgh
Starts:
Wednesday 4 October 2017, 10:00
Ends:
Wednesday 4 October 2017, 15:30

The National Plant Monitoring Scheme delivery partnership (Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland, Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, JNCC and Plantlife) is organising a stakeholder workshop at the SYHA in Edinburgh. This workshop builds on the success of stakeholder workshops we ran in England in 2016 and Wales earlier in 2017.

The National Plant Monitoring Scheme is approaching the end of its third field season. In the first two years we have seen many volunteers in Scotland being recruited to and participating in the scheme. This reflects the support we have had in promoting the scheme from NGOs, National Parks and record centres. The workshop will focus on the National Plant Monitoring Scheme in Scotland and will be a mixture of presentations and discussion groups. The workshop is aimed at staff from conservation NGOs, Local Record Centres and National Parks and a full agenda will be sent nearer the time. We have a limited number of free places for those requiring overnight accommodation on the night of the 3rd October.
