Opportunity to present at NBN Conference

Abstract submissions are open

For the first time, we are opening up the NBN Conference and offering speaking slots to individuals who are interested in participating in this event.  With an anticipated attendance of 170 delegates this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work or projects, within the overall theme of “Global to local”.

The following opportunities exist for oral presentations at the NBN Conference:

Student talks

2 opportunities (10 minutes each) – Friday 20th November

Symposium talks

3 opportunities (20 minutes each) – Thursday 19th November
 

In addition, the following opportunities exist for posters or demonstrations, which will be a focus of the morning and afternoon breaks and lunchtime on both days:

10 opportunities (table, poster boards and electricity provided)

Requirements

Abstract submissions for both speaking slots and posters should be no longer than 300 words and must be submitted to support@nbn.org.uk and marked NBN Conference 2015. 
 

Should your talk not be selected please indicate whether you are interested in displaying a poster instead.
 

Students should be undertaking a relevant ecological course. Topics for the student talks should relate their studies or project work to the theme of the Conference “From global to local – building the NBN Partnership”.
 

Topics for the Symposium talks should consider “global to local” perspectives in relation to collecting and sharing data, biological recording of all kinds, engagement about biodiversity and making use of biological data.

Dates

The submission deadline for oral presentations and posters is 10:00am on Monday 28th September.

Successful applicants will be notified on Friday 2nd October.
 

To guarantee your place in the programme, each successful applicant must register for the Conference by midnight Wednesday 14th October. Your abstract will be withdrawn if you do not register by this date.
 

Please note that the early bird booking discount ends on Friday 9th October.
